Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18 1977 was an American artist and singer. She is well-known for her work as the frontwoman for In This Moment. In This Moment went on to release seven studio albums and garner four nominations. Two came from Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been recognized as "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in the year 2010. She was named one of eleven women in heavy metal who count by Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the top 25 Hot Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25 to search for an act. Before that she worked in retail as well as in coffee shops and bars. After an audition, she was introduced to Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth initially was hesitant to hire Brink as a singer due to the fact that she was female. Howorth apologized two weeks later and hired Brink to be his singer. They formed the group Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. In the course of time, the group changed their names to In This Moment
