Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1997 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother is Spanish-English. Four of her siblings belong to her father's former marriage. The family was initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor-Joy stated that the move had been painful, and she refused to study English as she wanted to return to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At 16, she left school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to work as an actor. The opportunity was offered to her chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered the opportunity to model.
